An authorization error is triggered when a script's function cannot run due to a lack of authorization. In most cases, this issue is caused by multiple connections on a Chrome session. This article explains further this issue.
Why do I get this error?
When you are connected to a Google Chrome session, you can add multiple accounts under the same session. If your main account (the default one) has not installed Form Publisher, and you are trying to open Form Publisher with one of the other accounts, you have this error message:
info Google uses the main account to launch server-side function (Note that we do not have any control about that except sending this error) and as it hasn't the authorization the script crashes.
What should I do?
To solve this issue:
- First, log out of every account
- Then, log in with the one that owns the Google Form that you are trying to edit
- Or, open a Chrome session where the primary account is the one you're using
warning As a reminder from our Terms of Use, "Form Publisher is strongly linked to the infrastructure provided by Google. Changes by Google on this infrastructure might change the product and the features we can provide." Please understand that we cannot solve this issue as this is not from the Form Publisher side, but Google. If the problem persists and occurs many times, the best thing to do is to retry later.
