To create subfolders based on the selection respondents make in multiple choice grid questions, you define a question marker matching the question title of the multiple choice question and indicating the row whose options you want to use as the subfolder names.
For more information about configuring subfolders, see Send documents to dynamic subfolders.
For example, the question Rate your experience has the rows Pre-event, Main event, and After party, and the columns Bad, Ok, and Great.
To send generated documents to subfolders based on the rating respondents select in the Rate your experience question on the After party row, you define the <<Rate your experience [After party]>> question marker.
For multiple choice grid questions, you can only define one of the rows in the question. You define the row by surrounding it with an opening and closing square bracket [ ].
Subfolders are named as each column name in the multiple choice grid question. For example, the following are the subfolder names based on the columns.
- Bad
- Ok
- Great
Generated documents are sent to a subfolder only when respondents make a selection in the After party row of the Rate your experience question.
Form Publisher does not create the subfolders immediately. As soon as a respondent makes a submission with a selection in the question, Form Publisher creates the subfolder by naming it with the selected option and sends the document to the subfolder.
If Form Publisher creates the subfolder after a previous submission, the generated document is sent to the existing subfolder.
