You can customize the paper size, page orientation, margins, and other options related to how Form Publisher generates PDF documents from a Google Sheets template.
Prerequisites
- You must have a Google form configured with Form Publisher.
- The template selected must be a Google sheet.
- You must configure Form Publisher to generate a PDF document.
Procedure
- Start Form Publisher by clicking the Add-ons icon in your Google form and selecting Form Publisher.
- In the pop-up menu, click Launch Form Publisher.
The Form Publisher for Google Forms add-on starts in the lower-right part of the screen and opens the Template and markers page. - Click the Menu button.
The Form Publisher menu opens. - Select Sharing options and notifications.
- Under More options, click PDF parameters.
The Spreadsheet pdf parameters screen opens. - Select the Activate PDF parameters checkbox.
- (Optional) Check the default parameters selected by Form Publisher.
- Under Global parameters, configure the Paper size and the Page orientation.
- Under Margin, you can select the Margin units and specify the margin you want at the Top, Right, Bottom, and Left of your document.
- Under Formatting, enable some or all of the listed formatting options to customize generated PDF documents.
- Fit to width. Fits the content in the spreadsheet to the selected Paper size.
- Hide sheet name. Hides the sheet name from the generated PDF document.
- Hide title. Hides the Google sheet document title from the generated PDF document.
- Hide sheet number. Hides the Google sheet number from the generated PDF document.
- Hide gridlines. Hides the borders of the table cells.
- Under Global parameters, configure the Paper size and the Page orientation.
Result
Form Publisher is now configured to generate PDF documents with the configured customizations.
Example 1: The generated PDF document is displayed in a portrait format, and does not show the document title, the sheet title, and also the sheet number.
Example 2: The generated PDF document is displayed in a landscape format, the title is displayed and the gridlines are hidden.
