You’ve selected a Google Slides template in Form Publisher and included a File upload question.
But when the document is generated, none of the markers are replaced.
This happens when:
- You used a Google Slides template.
- You used a File upload question to collect images.
- The Google Drive folder where uploaded files are stored is not shared with Anyone with the link.
In this case, Form Publisher cannot access the files, and all markers in the generated document fail to populate.
Solution
- In your Google Form, open the File upload question.
- Click View folder to open the associated Google Drive folder.
- Inside Google Drive, change the folder’s sharing setting to Anyone with the link.
- Regenerate the document. The markers should now appear correctly.
warning This is a known Google issue with no current workaround than ensuring the folder is publicly accessible via link.
