In addition to approval, you can request approvers to sign the documents generated by Form Publisher. About this task You will find steps to add the signature field in a Google document, Google sheet, or Google slide templates.
Procedure
- In a Google Docs document template, add the <<Workflow signature>> standard marker in the template where you want the signature to appear.
info Note When an approver signs a generated document in Sign a request, they draw their signature. Form Publisher replaces the <<Workflow signature>> marker with the image of the signature.
Make sure to allow enough space for the signature image to avoid unexpected line breaks, page breaks, or unneeded white space.
For more information, see Image size of signatures.- (Optional) Add the approver name, the comment made by the approver, and the status of the document as processed by the approver (accepted or rejected) by using additional workflow markers.
